Wedding Expo

This past weekend I had a booth at the wedding expo. It was held at the White House Reception Center. This picture below is the view I had from my table.

There was a man doing ice sculptures. AMAZING!
Here are the cakes I had on display at my booth.

Enjoy!

18

This cake was for a girl turning 18. She wears the jingle dress and dances in the pow wow. Her aunt sent me a picture of her dress and asked me to have the cake resemble her dress somehow. This cake was mostly chocolate with a little bit of vanilla, and it was all covered in fondant.

Zebra!

This cake was a lot of fun to make. It was for a sweet little girl turning 2! The bottom tier was yellow cake with chocolate filling. The top tier was chocolate cake with vanilla filling. The cake was covered in white fondant with black fondant zebra stripes. The 2 and the bow on top were made from a mixture of fondant and gumpaste. Lastly, the pink border around the bottom was piped from pink strawberry flavored frosting.

Pink and purple horse cake!

This cake was something fun and different. It was for a little girl turning 4 years old and she loves horses. She wanted a girly cake with a horse on it, so that is what she got. I made a yellow cake with a strawberry cream cheese filling and vanilla frosting. The cake was covered in purple fondant. The white fence, horse, flowers, and happy birthday letters were all made from a gumpaste/fondant mixture.

This cake was for my cousin Jenna's 18th birthday. My grandma asked me to do it. She didn't say what she wanted it to look like, so this crazy idea was all mine. I think they liked it.......ha?
